Multnomah Falls

May 2018
Located about 30 miles from Portland, Oregon is Multnomah Falls.  According to the United States Forest Service, nearly 2 million people visit it each year.  This is not surprising because of the beauty of the falls.

A treat with Multnomah Falls is that with each season, the personality of the falls can change.  In the spring falls be full a very high volume of water flowing.  As summer progresses, the flow will become lighter.

A time that I love to visit the falls is during the winter during after several days of freezing temperatures or snow.  The falls become magical and if you can safely get there, you are rewarded with a site that will awe you.

Please visit and enjoy the falls!

Bandon, Oregon

In mid-January 2018 I had an opportunity to visit Bandon, Oregon.  I was there to provide training to local CERT, medical reserve corps members, and others about sheltering.  The weather turned out to be amazing and led to some wonderful photographs.

After sunset, I was able to get the following photos.  There is very little light from Bandon that allowed me to see the Milky Way.

The curvature that you see in the photos are from the fish-eye lens that I used.

Sunriver - April 2014

I was at the Sunriver Resort in April for work.  While we were there we received some snow that allowed for some nice pictures.
